A Search Between Two Stars

Two stars, hundreds of miles apart, in a vast empty galaxy. Or in this case, 30 feet in a quiet suburban neighborhood. Theo and Veronica become neighbors after an incident in Theo's hometown comes to the light. A blue-eyed boy haunted by his past. In an attempt to escape it, he moves to Florida, bringing his family with him. He's tried meditation, hypnotism, banging his head against the wall, and everything under the sun. Anything to forget. Nothing has worked. Until the day his mother forced him to bring brownies to the neighbors.

Veronica is a girl with big dreams and big plans. A nice house in the city, 3 children and a successful piloting career. The universe treated her like a queen as everything came naturally to her. She seemed like a Disney princess. Intelligent, funny, kind, and beautiful. Everyone watched her long black hair sparkled in the sunlight. But she wasn't at all what she seemed. At home, she studied until midnight. The loss of her best friend, her grandmother, had set her into a spiral of sadness. Hours of studying had turn to hours on her couch shoving vanilla-bean ice cream down her throat. Her mother became increasingly worried. Her only daughter was falling apart. The light in her eyes were flickering out. Until the day a blue-eyed boy gave her a box of brownies.

Two young teens, exposed to the hardships of this world, struggle to find true happiness. Traveling through what seems like a dark, desolate vacuum, they falter with every step, like two stars flickering out in the darkness. Together they'll find their own light, finding out that the universe may not be as bad as it seems, and it all starts with a box of brownies.
