[COMPLETE] As Uri watched his parents die, life would never be the same again. Of course, that would be the case for any child who lost their parents. For Uri, it was especially true as his new guardian wasn't human.

To make matters even more complicated, Uri has unique gifts, which coerce his new guardian into raising him, and with minimal abuse, which he normally would have piled on a human boy. Every time Uri suffers, so does his new 'friend'.
But with all things, life changes. As he grows, Uri must learn to be human again, and his guardian knows this to be true. With more effort than his guardian thought would be necessary, he convinces Uri to start learning about people. It helps that the first person Uri meets is a beautiful girl. Through this effort, Uri's friend and mentor also learns to love again, and atone for his part in a mistake that altered all of humanity.

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

(FINISHED WRITING, BEING REVISED!) An only child, by the name of Nathaniel, has a very unfortunate life. Unpopular, bullied, and outcasted by everyone at school; even his own parents didn't want him! He's miserable... At least that was until his eighteenth birthday where he has the most bizarre encounter. A break-in at his own home from an organization that holds a secret from the entire world! Now, he attempts to find his life's purpose, coming across many friends as well as enemies, many obstacles, great pain, deep love, and important life lessons. It's up to him to decide whether or not he's the one in control of his own life. !!!CAUTION!!! IF YOU ARE ONE TO READ BOOKS BY THE LAST CHAPTER TO SEE IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, CHAPTERS TOWARD THE END OF THIS BOOK CONTAIN HUGE SPOILERS THAT MAY RUIN OR ALTER THE DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND ENJOYMENT AND IF YOU STILL WISH TO READ THE LAST CHAPTER I SUGGEST CHAPTER 53! Info of my writing style and this book: • This book is written from the first-person point of view. Everything he thinks about; everything you read, will be the exact moment of everything that's happening. When Nathaniel gets cut off and interrupted, his thoughts will be interrupted as well. • I'll put seven periods to indicate a change in the scene; to show that time has passed since the last scene. • Bolded names are important characters to Nathaniel and the story • This book contains vulgar and sometimes erotic descriptive language. • This book is targeted toward a young adult audience.

"I'm such a bother to yall." I choke out. "I'm so fucking weak. I can't even defend myself." Xavier's arms unwrap from my body, and his hands hold my teary face. "I'm a worthless h-human." Xavier furrows his eyebrows in pain. A tear of his own falling down his face. "No," he says shaking his head. "No. You've never been a bother to me. You aren't weak. And you most certainly aren't worthless." I gasp to breathe, and he continues talking. "What you are is an amazing person who hasn't let all of this crazy bullshit affect her. You handled it like a champ. What you are is a strong, brave being that has stood by my side." I breathe as he leans closer. "What you are, is the love of my life...."

Mutants have existed long enough to be properly integrated into society, but not long enough for everyone to have accepted them. Outside of the United States, a hub for mutant immigrants fleeing the oppressive laws of their own countries, fear of mutant syndrome bleeds through the cracks in mysterious deaths, obnoxious court rulings, and social isolation. It isn't all sunshine and rainbows in America, either ⸻ some states are more progressive than others, and it's a constant battle over who has what rights and where. But there is one class of mutants that nearly everyone can agree on avoiding: Class F. The Freaks. For awkwardly tall and perpetually oblivious homeschooler Noah Kirby, all that exists is his house and the little graveyard on his street in North Carolina. When the opportunity comes along to enroll as a first-year at F Class Academy, an up-and-coming school for the most dangerous mutants of the generation, it means opening his eyes to an entirely new world, one where mutant life isn't as easy as he thought it was. Noah has three goals to ensure his start at FCA goes smoothly: 1. Befriend his moody Ability Management partner Amaris, so that they don't both risk failing the class, 2. Get to the bottom of why he keeps waking up surrounded by dissected corpses, and 3. Make it through the year without getting killed by one of his classmates' disastrous accidents. It may sound impossible, but with a dash of optimism and the help of a lot of new friends, he's confident he can make it work. FCA is nothing like he's ever seen before, but it can't be so scary. At the end of the day, mutant highschoolers are just like any other highschoolers... right? [ This story is unabashedly inspired by franchises I liked when I was a kid. I'm mostly writing it just for fun and for my friends to read, but if you also liked stuff like the X-Men, Percy Jackson, and Ever After High, you might have a fun time too! ]
