When Harper got a job at the local diner all she knew was that she'd be wasting her summer elbow deep in grease and sweat. The only thing she didn't expect was to fall in love and --possibly-- learn to roller skate.

                                                                             • • •

Harper Stevens was your ordinary high school girl, just holding onto to so-so grades, not getting invited to parties, skipping that yearly Christmas dance, lazing it out in her bedroom and babysitting half her mother co-workers children. It was her normal and she fully intended to spend her summer the exact same way;in her room with the lights off and a bag of Doritos--that was until her mother lost her job.

Harper is heartbroken for her mother who had worked in the same building for almost four years, now she has to step up and get a job. Sadly the only place hiring is that dumb pink-ed out diner a few blocks from her house, Pinkie & Families'.

Who ever said a little adventure could hurt you?

The Dairy Queen

40 parts Complete Mature

Love in an ice cream shop? Violet Davis thinks the summer after her senior year in high school will be one of the best in her young teenage life, until her mom tells her to get a summer job. Spending all those hot summer nights at the local dairy bar, scooping ice cream for sticky, sweaty toddlers and grandparents is not her idea of a good time-that is until she falls for the bad boy co-worker, the one everyone tells her to stay away from. Let's just say the ice cream in the walk-in freezer isn't the only thing that will need to cool down, especially when we add a boy from high school to the mix; sweet, cute, with a big....heart. Violet's love life becomes just like her favorite soft-serve...twisted. ** This book is rated Mature! If you blush easily, you have been warned. Also, I swear like a sailor...my characters do too. ** ** I like to incorporate music with my chapters, I will often note where I think you should begin a song, this is just a suggestion :) The YouTube video for the music is posted at the top of each chapter. There is also a Spotify Playlist: https://tinyurl.com/4ujb3fd2 ** **All locations in this book, except for the ice cream shop and the work places of other characters are real places. I have taken some liberties with the hours of these businesses, but they are all brick and mortar places that can be visited.**
