Jessie, aged 17, has been questioned about a murder, the murder of her once alive best friend, Clarissa. Jessie can't seem to remember the alleged date Clarissa's life was forcefully taken and there is no clear evidence against her, so she is not arrested. However, her small village is quick with the gossip and is convinced that Jessie is the murderer. Due to Jessie's lack of memory, she can't deny or admit to anything and is being verbally abused by the townsfolk.
Jessie is convinced that someone is framing her and runs into hiding to gather evidence and clear her name.
Is she insane like the town think she is? Is she just a cold-blooded killer?
Jessie must make new allies in her journey but it becomes harder and harder when she finds out that Clarissa had kept a very dark secret from her. Jessie loses all trust and struggles too but must if she wants any hope of clearing her name.
