Being in the army was difficult, to begin with. Being an army medic and surgeon was even harder. Being the only human where I am stationed is probably the hardest thing in the world. Most of the people there didn't like me because I was human. The werewolf, vampires, witches, and warlocks didn't take me seriously at all at first. Until they realized I would do anything for them. Humans weren't very happy about the takeover, but when only 30% of the population is actually human you don't get a lot of say. I didn't want a mate for that reason I got rid of my scent, but touch would break that. If my mate touched me even if it was just to brush past me he would notice. I was crossing my fingers that I didn't have a mate, unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

It almost seemed too perfect. Like it was like fate, everything was falling into place. When she arrives, she finds herself struggling to let go and get rid of her past while continuing to experience new things in life, and learning to feel free from what was keeping her back. ⋘⋙ 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐬 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐚 has been the King of Werewolves for a long while now after the death of his father in 2001, making him eight years old when he started his ruling. Of course, he had the help of his mother, the Queen, whom was a simply always very generous and kindhearted woman. The Queen unknowingly made sacrifices to magically find the mate of her son, that costed her good health done by an untrustworthy powerful witch. Knowing her son won't be alone for too much longer now made the Queen fully accepting of her future fate. But Silas's strong uncertainty of ever wanting a mate has made it just as confusing when he suddenly meets the person whom he never thought existed.

Ranked #22 in Isolation 07/25/2023 "I'm not mate material. You're better off without me." My heart clenched at his words and my wolf whined internally. "I, James, reject you, Grace, as my ma-" I lunged across the counter quickly placing my hand over his mouth. My other hand shot to the table to stabilize myself and I hissed loudly as I dumbly slammed it down on his knife. I could feel it biting into my palm slicing the flesh but I dared not move in fear that he would finish his sentence. "Please don't do that to me." I pleaded as my eyes began to well with unshed tears. He attempted to lean back out of my hold but I only moved with him crawling fully onto the counter hovering above him, one hand still firmly pressed to his mouth. I could feel pleasant tingles surging through my palm and I wondered briefly what it would feel like to be kissed by him. He moved back again and when I tried to move with him this time I successfully slipped off the counter losing my grip on his mouth. His arms reached out pulling me to his form rather than the ground and I clutched onto his top as sparks danced on my skin everywhere we made contact. I couldn't help my instincts as I breathed in his scent feeling my muscles relax and my head go light. "You're an idiot to be begging for someone you don't even know." He looked at my bloody palm that now gripped his grey shirt properly staining it. I released my hold on him trying not to cringe at the pain in my palm but I was never good at hiding my emotions. "Idiot." He stated again staring at me.
