Haven is just trying to have a normal summer, but a run-in with Christian, a guys she meets in Staples, her normal summer an go down the drain..  When school comes around, Haven's brother Bryan, tries out, and succesfully makes the high school football team.  But, during a ski trip with friends, Haven's father calls with awful news. Her brother is in the hospital.  As she rushes home, she finds out he has a rare heart disease, Long QT Syndrome.  To her, it is a mixture of medical terms, but to Bryan, it is three words.  No more football, ever.  After a long chat with her brother, he convinces her to take his place as quarterback.  Her body, as well as her ego gets bruised, but will it be enough to make her family proud, and to perform for the team?All Rights Reserved

It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!

The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" He continues to shake his head. I fold my arms, leaning back in my seat. "Yeah, it's definitely sticking. Teddy.....It has a nice ring to it, yeah?" He sighs, the first sound I have ever heard him make. "No." . . . *Jordan* Teddy!? Seriously!? She gave me a fucking NICKNAME!? What the hell does this girl want!? I stuff my hands into my pockets, walking down the busy street. Forget about her. She's just a annoying pretty girl, she'll go away. Everybody does. She HAS to go away. *Spoiler alert*: she doesn't. Don't get close to people or they'll end up getting hurt. That's my mindset. I've been through enough of that. This girl doesn't belong in my world anyway.
