Phoenix Soler was still fairly new to the academy when four of the five paladins left Earth, and their disappearance sparked many questions. The instructors at the academy rarely talked about what happened that day, and often covered it up with lies such as "They broke out and ran away." It seemed like a good excuse, as everyone was expected to be in their dorms, and either sleeping or laying in bed reading or trying to fall asleep. Phoenix refused to accept the lies that the instructors tried to teach the students; being a witness to what had happened. Eventually, fed up with the lies, Phoenix prepares a pod, and leaves Earth in search for the other teens.
