Lila Moonshadow was born into the 18th-century aristocracy of a small Eastern European country. Her mortal life was one of opulence and boredom, a never-ending dance of societal obligations and the pursuit of fleeting beauty. Her transformation into a vampire came as a shock when she was bitten by an enigmatic creature of the night at the tender age of 20. Her sire, a reclusive vampire lord named Alaric, recognized her fiery spirit and chose her to carry on his lineage. Under his tutelage, Lila learned the ancient art of vampirism, the subtleties of power, and the burden of immortality. The centuries have not been kind to Lila's heart. She has seen empires rise and fall, loved and lost countless times. Yet she has never lost her zest for knowledge and adventure. A polymath by necessity, she has amassed an extensive library within her secluded chateau, filled with tomes of forgotten lore and secrets that could shake the foundations of the vampire world. Her thirst for knowledge is matched only by her hunger for the blood that sustains her.
