After a close encounter with death eighteen year old Priyam Taproot discovers he was gifted with special abilities through a strange mutation. But his abilities bring upon more then just power. With them comes the realization that he is an individual. That he has the potential to do great things despite what people say. That he a miserable root , the lowest of the low, can mesure up to those of the highest caliber. Sad part is he has a hard time accepting his new life and as such can not aquire his full potential. Not that anyone can blame him. Can he really be expected to learn that his entire life is a lie and be expected to just be fine with it. More importantly, if the person he has been living as the past few years is a mere illusion injected into him by the norms of a hierarchial society then who is he really? Follow Priyam through his adventures as he overcomes traumatic experiences, tries to adjust to his new upside down life, and discovers the horrendous history that his civilazation is build upon while trying to figure out his place in the world.

He tenderly kissed my forehead lingering as my heart exploded I waited patiently and shut my eyes praying for him to remove his lips from my skin so I could go home. He finally did and when he unlocked the car doors I jumped out and hurried to my apartment not looking back at the devil in the car. I finally reached my apartment panting and shut the door sliding down my door crying hysterically, I could still feel his cold lips on me. What did I just witness tonight. What did I get myself into. I was scared of the future because I knew surely he would be back to check on his Queen.
