My heels echoed the hall as I walked to the doors. The sound of glasses clinking & laughter floated down. I mentally prepared myself before opening the doors & gasping. He'd truly outdone himself this time. My eyes scanned the crowd. He wasn't there. My heart sank. But then he was. His arms were snaked around my waist & my back was pressed against his chest. He trailed kisses down my neck. He was teasing. He pressed something into my hand. The ring. I felt to safe in his embrace, I didn't want this perfect moment to end. But you can't change fate, you can't alter the inevitable. I sighed. His breath was hot against my neck & he smelt divinely of mint. He whispered two words in my ear, his voice utterly irresistible, 'they're coming'. Then all hell broke loose.
