He reached up after a few seconds, the golden rings sparkling on his slender fingers and pulled his hood from his face. The dark material of the hood disappeared, revealing even darker raven hair underneath which framed his chiseled features perfectly. What caused a startled gasp to escape my lips however was the pair of steel grey eyes that stared back at me, swirling with mirth and some darker emotion which I couldn’t name. “I’m Jack Dayes,” He told me, humor present in his steel irises. “Captain of the Eternal Fury.” And with that, he turned on his heel and left the tavern, leaving me standing there, mouth agape.

The man who bound the sea goddess herself in her bones. So how could a man so vile and heartless allow himself to crumble at the feet of a woman? "She may seem mortal, boy...but there is more to her that meets the eye."
