The Shadows

Twenty years ago Lucy Heartfilia was cursed. In the futile attempt to save her best friend, she laid hands on the book of E.N.D. The book was Natsu's lifeline. If the book disappeared, as it was destined to, so would her friend. Lucy couldn't let that happen and wouldn't just stand around to let it. She saw the opportunity and seized, not caring for a second about what it could mean for her own life.

In the end, Lucy saved Natsu. But she couldn't save herself from the curse of the book. The curse was a wretched one, it would isolate her from everyone she loved, for if she stayed the curse would take the life of everyone she loved.

Lucy knowing what the curse had done to people before her, fled, never to return to her home, Fairy Tail, ever again.

When Natsu realised what had happened, how Lucy had saved him and disappeared, he searched high and low to find his best friend. He couldn't bare the thought that she was alone somewhere. As he finally found her, Lucy tried to push him away, she didn't want to hurt him. But Natsu was stubborn. He stayed. Even though staying with her would kill him slowly.

Their friendship blossomed into something else in those mountainous terrains and after a couple of years they had a little baby girl, Nashi.

Another few years passed, and Natsu passed with those years, the curse killing him like cancer. After another couple of years Lucy disappeared again, terrified of slowly taking her own baby girl's life. Nashi's life. Leaving her alone. With the shadows.

This story is about Nashi Dragneel, her adventures and her fight.
