Athena is a girl with many habits. She cannot go without a scarf in the morning and her nails always find themselves in her mouth, ruined and jagged.

When she's forcefully transported to her new home, Khronos, she cannot do any of this without a penalty and if it comes to it, death. Therefore she tries her hardest to fit in.

When her childhood friend, Caspian, is suddenly transported to Khronos too, she's torn between going back to the life she flourished in, with Caspian, or turning her rust-coloured eyes away from him and changing herself completely in the new life she's built with Ash.
