Blurred Lines (Aarmau AU)

"Momma!" Aphmau exclaimed.
"Yes dear?" Her mother replied as she worked on dinner.
"Did you let Cadenza in?" The girl asked while her eyes sparkled. The older, sane woman paused.
"Yes dear, I let Cadenza in. Is Laurence around too?" She replied, playing along with her daughter having imaginary friends.

"APHMAU!" Her mother exclaimed.
"Yes mom?" She asked.
"Who were you just talking to?" Her mother asked.
"Katelyn, of course!" She chirped in response.
"Aphmau, Katelyn isn't real! And neither is Garroth, Laurence, Cadenza, Dante, Travis, Zane, Vylad, Kawaii~Chan, Lucinda, Aaron or any of the others! None of them exist, and you need to realize that!" Her mother shouted.
"THEY ARE REAL MOM! AND THEY'RE MY FRIENDS! DON'T TALK ABOUT THEM LIKE THAT! THEY EXIST!" Aphmau retorted angrily before storming to her room.

Aphmau Irene Shalacshaska has schizophrenia, a mental disorder that makes her have delusions and hallucinations. Other students at her high school make fun of her or avoid her because of this fact, though nobody knows exactly what she has. When her mother becomes fed up of her daughter still having imaginary friends, she brings her to a therapist.
