Kyoko Arai, a young woman fresh out of college, moved to Infinite City. Upon arriving, she received a black envelope with a red seal; by opening the letter, she signed a contract to be part of an experiment by an unknown organization called M. LAB. 
The experiment will last fifteen days.  As a "lab rat", Kyoko will go through the most outrageous, perhaps meaningless, tests that will pit her against Death himself. She tries to seek comfort from her fellow participants-- the aloof Fuyu, sympathetic Miki, mysterious Rin and alleged former psychotic prisoner Jirou-- but under the unseen eyes of M. LAB's watchful workers, Kyoko could never shake off the feeling of being a white mouse played by its captors...
