So I've been wanting to start a new story for a while now but I'm the opposite of inspired. However, a brilliant animatic/storyboard called 'The Rendezvous' by Maksn on YouTube did inspire me. I'll attach the video to the actual text too, it's amazing. I love the idea of a character falling in love with someone in their dreams and the aspect of sleeping pills too is very interesting. Of course I am not going to copy the whole storyline, I have my own ideas about that, but that part of the animatic really motivated me. So thank you Maksn! This is just something that I came up with and had to write down before I forgot it. It involves the main character Theodore and his imaginary love interest (who is nameless atm) and a dilemma that occurs. I will, if I do continue with this idea, change a lot from the original inspiration and this part is just a draft. So please, I hope you enjoy! And check out Maksn's video!! Do it!!

PROLOGUE: There was a man sitting at home, fiddling with his pencil, trying his best to do his job. This man sat back and sighed. He was famished and in an empty house. He was about to move. Boxes littered the hallway. He had gotten a new job in another state and knew it would be better for him and for those around him. On his last deadline, he knew not what to think about, let alone the blank blueprints he was meant to fill in. He preoccupied his time with thoughts of the past, romance, and grief. He thought of the man he'd loved. The man he still loved. He thought of the house he dreamt of having with him. He considered what would make it special for them. He pictured them dancing in their living room. Then, he started to sketch his dreams, thinking of the story that would change his entire life. He attempted the home he wanted, and yet it wasn't perfect. It never was. Not for them, no. He stared at the blueprints for a long while before amending it to the customer's liking. That was his trick. This time; however, it was different. He started to remember their entire time together with simultaneous happiness and sadness. This man's name was Pluto. He was known as such since elementary, and it was, for such a long time, matching with one other. Mars. Pluto and Mars. This, now, was a distant memory. One of love and loss. After George accidentally outs himself in front of the popular and homophobic guys of the school everything seems fine at first. However, that soon changes when he receives weird and hurtful messages online, this soon escalates from just one message to something much more serious. Meanwhile, Clay is closeted yet he has known he likes boys for a while now after falling for George. However, he can never seem to find the time to talk to anyone about this as he has to constantly help his sick mum and sister. With the cyber bullying all becoming too much, George becomes extremely overwhelmed, while Clay finds himself taking more and more medication to calm himself every day. This soon escalated from a small issue into something unimaginably worse. Familiar, but unknown at the same time. Just enough recognition to remember, but knowing so little that you make up stories for him in your head. That's the only reason he took the offer from Everett University to be a left-wing forward on their Division 1 hockey team. A forgotten team really. Dead last in their league and close to dead last in the division. It was just something to help pay the tuition, but nothing much to get any recognition. He gets to keep playing hockey, he can afford to go to an out-of-state school, and he can remain unknown. It's his perfect game plan. Or well it was. Until the worst possible series of events happens. The team wins their first game in 13 years, shocked fans catch Jake talking to a popular pro player after a game, and an unfortunate tweet blows up. All leading to Jake's face being plastered on every Twitter feed, Instagram story, and social media outlet that you can think of. His worst nightmare comes to life in real time. Now with the help of his team, he has to figure out how to deal with his newfound fame while trying to get his bachelor's in chemical engineering and win as many damn hockey games as he possibly can before time runs out and he has to run again.
