"I'm sorry," she whispered as silent tears ran down her pale cheeks and past the scar next to her ear. "I'm so sorry!"
With her whole body quivering, she let the silver dagger drop to the ground. She turned away and ran into the rain. That was the last time anyone saw her. Ever. For real this time.
