Being a teen with the maturity of a 20 year old is not easy, trust me...

Violet has grown up living in the same house, with the same people in the same place for 16 years.

Does she like it there? Yes.

Does she fit in with the mundane teens worried about whether or not it's acceptable to wear the same shoes to this weekends party that you also wore last year to go on holiday? No.

She was always ahead of everyone- in the top sets, reading dictionaries for fun and travelling to the closest libraries because she had already read all of the decent books in her school.

She always had her head in the clouds and fantasised about being part of her favourite romance novels -her only escape from her rickety moods and scarring traumas.

Because was Violet as collected and sunny souled as she seemed? No.

.........This is the story of the one summer that changed her life, where she finally got to be spun into a twisted and complicated romance story of her own, as well as going to one of the darkest places she had ever been.....

I'm sure hope your excited to follow Violets journey, but if you are not, maybe the mentioning of the Twins Damen and Kit will spark you imagination, as these were the boys who set fire to the flame of Violets Summer and lead me to write this book....
