This story is my fanfic imagining of the game Monster Hunter. this may just be a once off story so I'm not sure if I'll actually try to make it into a series. its just really a personal challenge to myself to write a short story a month in hopes of being finally able to write something and finish it. that said, I hope you enjoy it. thanks in advance for reading it :)
Also side note, I'm aware that its not really much in the way of a quality work but that's because I was more focused on writing something from start to end. I just needed to know that as a writer I could finish something for a change so I'm quite sorry if it doesn't live up to your expectations.

Direct crosspost from Ao3 This is an INTENSELY self indulgent prequel for the events of Monster Hunter World following the life of the Commander. Fic takes place from the First Fleet setting out and covers things like the Celestial Pursuit ending up on a mountain, the Scoutflies, the Seeker peacing out, the Research Base crash landing, and some other stuff I'm forgetting, and ends right before the opening sequence of the game. So if you like Monster Hunter, and for some reason you're not here for the monster part (why are we here? Where is the appeal beyond big monster?), we're here together. Ngl, I wrote this because he is 100% my OC's type, and I had brain worms until I wrote it all out. I'm freeeee! The PoV is from the Commander instead of said OC so we get to see more fun things than "oh god he's hot. Oh god I'm gay. Oh god." Instead we get stuff like "Woah cool bugs. Ha ha cute monsters! AH BIG MONSTER!" You're welcome. This will be a Hisoka x OC story, sorry it was gonna be x Reader but I get jealous :3. Will not be your tradition Hisoka story. My oc Veladandra, the highly skilled weapon and nen user. Meets Hisoka, another skilled fighter, on her way to the Hunter Exam. Hisoka seems to find interest in her and sticks around for the exam. After being thoroughly impressed in the final phase, he decided he doesn't want to part yet. There the true adventure starts, where will his interest in the girl lead him? And does she return an interest in him? The shows story line will be followed for the majority, but certain things I'm going to change a lot. I've only watched what's on Netflix so far but by the time I get there I'm sure I'll have watched the rest. This story is still in development. I am inspired by the tv show "The Ultimate Spiderman" I still remember how excited I am when I watch the series, and from there I made up this story.
