I gently placed the record into the player and waited. I had been expecting a cute little fifties song that grandmothers play in their car, but what I heard was much more...life-changing.
Sophia had always been put to the highest expectations, whether it was because she was named after a very notable actress or because her twin sisters both attended ivy league schools , she never knew. That is why it was such a relief to escape to her grandmothers small town in Rhode Island for the summer. Everything there was peaceful and notable, before she "met" Leo.
