Jeremy wants the perfect woman and the perfect revenge against Earth's bureaucracy. Sadly, the perfect woman, Catriona, already divorced him, and the divorce laws have become harsher than space itself. The galaxy, however, just doesn't have enough breadth to keep Jeremy and Catriona apart. As the first divorcees to colonize a planet, they face a series of cosmic flukes which force them together. Though they resent the tease, the now-reachable stars have a way of reigniting romantic tensions aboard their shaky vessel.
Soon the ex-couple will have a whole world to fill with either love or bitterness. The new planet, Pearl, may even hold hostilities of her own. It may invite them to land, or it may kill them when they do.
