Amy always wanted to have kids but the doctor told her she couldn't. Then she finds a baby abandoned outside the forbidden woods. She names her Sarah, and raised her to stay away from the woods she was found by. But eighteen is a prideful age and Sarah doesn't heed her mothers warnings. She and her best friend sneak out and climb the protective fencing and embark on a journey that will change the rest of their lives. But when they come back they discover 10 years had passed. Her friend had changed while she hadn't. Puzzled by this Sarah can't help wanting to know why.
