Once Ash and Red meet you know they will clash. After Ash left Unova He found a new life in kalos waiting for him. On the other hand Red had settled in kalos after his Hoenn adventure. When they met in the pomemon championship it got real.

However while planning his next region, tragedy strikes and his mother dies. to his knowledge he has no other family until one day a familiar visitor arrives offering him a home and revealing a family secret lost for generations.
