"Take the small one, she isn't human." Another officer came over and started to take her from my arms. She let go in shock but I grabbed her arm and I tugged back but I didn't want to hurt her. "No!" After she was taken away she decided to live her foster life as a shadow but sadly that doesn't work as she bounces from foster family to foster family, from school to school, and from town to town. She is constantly expelled from schools and gets into fights. After a while everything gets the best of her. After moving with a new foster family and she goes to a new school, she realizes that maybe she is not alone. She struggles with who she wants to be and who she really is, as she tries to find out how many more of her kind exist without blowing her cover

A Real Nightmare
For Katerina Tremain, life as a child was difficult, and as an adult has only gotten worse. As a small child, Kat's parents always nit picked at everything she did. It was never good enough for them. She was a failure in their eyes and no matter how much she tried to exceed their expectations, she was still not good enough. She never would be. She developed low self esteem, anxiety, depression, and over time-paranoia. She adapted and learned to deal with it. She was afraid to do anything for herself. Paranoia along with the constant "What could happen" plagued her every move, her every decision. Fear of the unknown. Going to club 'Pure' was the start of her new life, but when a stranger buys you a drink...you shouldn't accept it. That undiluted feeling of 'fight or flight' hit her in one enormous wave. Fear brought on adrenaline, it sung in her veins-and as she turned to hastily leave, that nagging thought in the back of her mind said, "You're being watched. Run. Now." Katerina knew right then and there that she had made the worst decison of her life. She knew going out to a club and being around people would only cause more problems. What she didn't know was, it would change her future. Her life. Her very soul. And changing her future was going to be slow, painful, and filled with psychological and physical torture. Of course slow, painful, and deliciously torturous is Viktor's specialty-and right now-Katerina was on the menu.

Upon arrival at the Medici's grand Platzo they will be introduced with the head of the family Lorenzo, his mother Lucretzia, as well as his younger siblings his brother Giuliano, sisters Bianca and Maddalena, his half uncle a priest by the name of Carlo as well as the painter Sandro Botticelli who was adopted and raised by the family many years prior. After seeing the Medici family Henry, his wife Elizabeth, his mother Margret, as well as all three of his oldest children and daughter in law have their eyes on one Medici girl in particular, Maddalena de'Medici. Maddalena is a breathe of fresh air considered the most beautiful women in the world at the time, has the Grace of a Queen and the mind that can challenge the wit and intellect of all her brothers put together and some. Whenever Lorenzo feels stuck there's one person who can figure out a way to strike them to the jugular and come out on top with the sympathy of the people. Where will Maddalena go and what will she become?
