Steven Easton is a teacher, YouTube vlogger, but most importantly an uncle to his nine-year-old niece, Ava, who he is raising on his own. They are located in the roughest small town of Alabama, but they are going to move to Iowa over the summer. Steven worries that he won't be able to make as much of a difference in Iowa though. As an English teacher, he decides to write a blog post everyday in the month of May.

He was a well-known teacher in Alabama because he was one of the few teachers who genuinely cared about his students. That was why his aunt had confidence in hiring him. But will he be able to get along with other adults here in Iowa? He was so used to being liked and listened to in Alabama. Is anyone going to notice him here? Everyday a new entry will be produced, walking us through his interesting journey.
