I open my eyes and try to move, but my arms are tied behind my back. I'm sitting on a heavy wooden chair. I try to say something, but fail when I find clothe inside my mouth and tied behind my head. I look around to find a big empty room. It's cold, and the walls and floor is made of stone. I hear a click and turn to see a heavy metal door opening. A man walks through. "Hello Jacquelyn" he says with a straight face. "Now you may be wondering why I brought you here" he says after he sees the expression on my face. "Well, your dad took something of mine and I plan on getting it back" he says with a crooked evil smile.

She just skimmed the latest article on the front page with her left glance. Reports of new missing people were no longer so foreign to her. The names of the victims were, as if archived, in her head. -The police are doing their best to find the missing people and catch the perpetrator...- She grimaced in reluctance and looked toward the intersection at the end of the main street. A police car with two police officers, with [typical] donuts and coffee to go. Typical - she thought out loud. Her view was suddenly blocked. A black car stopped in front of the café. The door opened and a young man-early 30s, she guessed-got out. A black suit, red tie, shiny dancing shoes. [Typical] businessmen. His intense gaze rested on her. She looked at her gold watch-her father's keepsake. 7:01 a.m. "You're late" "Just a minute" She looked at the clock again. 7:02 a.m. "No, two" With an elegant gesture, he invited her in. She left the coffee cold, as there would be another opportunity. They sat quietly opposite each other. She placed her red coat on her thighs. It was nice and warm in here. ,,Who?" He pressed a small collection of files into her hand. -Amara Smith-
