Arella Faith Amour is a detective for the NYPD (New York Police Department). She was put on a cold case where they are having the 2nd unit from a Japanese police department come to New York City to take part in the case. Arella will be reunited with her childhood, Eiki Yachigusa, whom like her, was treated as the outcast for skipping two grades in elementary and is known for solving an impossible case with little known details of the killer. Their history might just be what is needed to solve the case. However, something from Arella's past haunts her. That something is critical to the case.
