Gerard Way is definitely unique. He was raised in a questionable family with an abusive mother and practically nonexistent father, he was left only to play with his younger brother Mikey. On top of that, he figured out at a young age his sexuality and identity. He was not a normal teenage boy. He wore dresses and makeup, did his long black hair for fun, and lastly, he acted like a five year old.
Frank Iero, on the other hand, is more mature than boys his age. At 20, Frank is left to fend for himself in a decent apartment and a decent job. His hormones ruined his life during his early teens, leaving him with no friends and no one to turn to after being labeled as a slut. And technically, it was true. It was no secret that Frank loved sex, but when he is faced with the responsibility of a relationship, he crumbles.
17 year old Gerard's life is forever changed when he is thrown out into the real world without any clue as to what he was doing. But Frank is there to help him through and teach poor little innocent Gerard learn a thing or two.
