Daniel Howell is in many ways a normal 15-year-old. He goes to school, he thanks the universe for Fridays and he prefers to stay at home in bed over most things.
But in other ways, he is nothing like a normal 15-year-old.
When Dan was 8, his parents noticed that something was odd about their little boy with brown curly hair and chocolate eyes. Every time he touched someone, he could remove people's mental pain with one touch. At first, they saw it as a miracle but when they discovered that every time he took someone's pain, he received it himself. His parents banned him from ever touching people with struggles ever again, but when a new boy comes to town everything changes.
