In the future, the world is divided into two major political states, the Cian and the Rua. After many years of war, a compromise was made in order to ensure peace. The earth was split in half and each half was doused in two different toxins. When one toxin is exposed to the other, it burns the victims. Since neither side could touch the other without pain, peace was kept.
However, that all changes when Azure, a Cian, meets James, a Ruan.
