Erica is a 14 year old freshman in high school. She was moved to a new home, new town, and has to make new friends. Her mother's disappearance was the reason for her uprooting from the home she has always known in Maryland. She won't talk to her father or any other family about what she saw that night her mother went missing. Once she starts going to her new school in Virginia, she ends up with new friends and a guy that takes an interest in her. Will she be able to trust the new friends she now  has or keep her mother's disappearance a secret? Erica  is in danger. She knows why her mother dissapeared and why she is in danger too. Will she tell anyone what  is going on so they can help? Erica and her mother share something that is valuable to one person......and they will stop at nothing to get it.
