Manhattan is responsible for giving rise to some of the biggest bands of all time: The Ramones, The Velvet Underground, Blondie... and now, Confession. If it weren't for the internet, Mackenzie Merrick would just be part of another band jamming out to songs in her dad's basement. When Mac and her three brothers start posting covers on YouTube, they create a lot of buzz and eventually get signed. After they release their first EP on itunes, the four are offered a once in a lifetime opportunity- the chance to open for Momentum, one of the greatest bands on the pop punk scene. Everything with the tour seems to be going great, except for the fact that Roman Baskley, lead singer of Momentum seems to think she can't hack it. Mac knows she has what it takes, and she's willing to do anything to prove herself- including facing up to the biggest challenge: making a certain smug lead singer fall head over heels in love with her. Will Mac go through with breaking his heart as planned? Or will her new found feelings for Roman take precedence over her vendetta for revenge?
