A knight's son and a King's daughter become best friends who'd have thought? When they meet a kinship forms and the knight's son teaches the princess to climb trees and explore the world outside the castle walls. The Knight's son, John, and the king's daughter, Arianna, grow up to become young adults and John is entered into the army. Arianna finishes her lessons of being a princess and begins to be courted but the wildness planted within her heart by John lingers and causes every suitable suitor to run in the other direction unsure how to handle such an improper Princess. A war starts for her father's land and John returns. This return does not go unnoticed by the princess as she watches the battle field rage on every afternoon she sees him.
