D.D is a forensic anthropologist who is the head of forensics in her lab. She graduated as both a forensic anthropologist and a detective, so the lab has never assigned her a partner, but when a new agent was transferred to the agency they assign him to be her partner. When D.D and her partner are just getting to know each other a serial killer is discovered and challenges D.D with puzzling murders that will uncover things D.D never wanted people to know about her and her past.
