Echo has a troubled past, one of which he remembers nothing of. Every night, the nightmare visits him, etching at his very soul. He knows there's a reason to why he has these, and why they feel so real, but, he has no recollect as to why. Until one day he runs into the one who brings it all back to him. The girl with the Enchanted eyes, the descendent of great power, the princess of The Great Awakening, and ultimately...His soul link. He has seen her before, in a dream perhaps? But all he really knows, is that day that he looked into her eyes, he knew his purpose to this life....to protect her.
Echo's troubled past comes knocking again, when he meets the princess of Enchantia. Will he run or will he take up his forgotten duties as her protector?

Friends. That's what they always had been, whenever either of them had problems they told each other from a very young age. Always sticking together with seemingly no problems, if only they knew just how quickly that could all change. Him. We run away from something I don't know. I just know that there is something that was pulling me through a deep unknown darkness. But he was there and now we are running away.
