Chaya a.k.a Duck is badass without a doubt (or so she says) but that doesn't stop her from ogling hot guys, batting her eyelashes like she's in a desert storm, blushing like a psycho or joining a fight club.....wait a minute a normal girl wouldn't do that!

Despite her innocent and childish exterior Duck never follows the rules. She's rude, insanely optimistic, and a failure at being the hopeless romantic she is. And when it comes to Duck the most important thing to remember is... expect the unexpected.

She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights. He has countless tattoos covering his body. And he doesn't care about anything or anyone else. Layla Stevens is your average seventeen year-old girl, just trying to get through high school, with the friends she loves and doing the things she loves. When these two cross paths accidentally in an unusual way, they leave and never expect to speak to each other again. But fate has other plans. Layla finds her way into Reece's life and Reece doesn't know what to do about it. This ray of Sunshine suddenly meant something to him. She understood him when it seemed like no one else did. And he protected her from everyone who tried to hurt His Sunshine. Get ready for a story filled with bad pick-up lines, twin telepathy and a lot of fighting. Like, a LOT. Thanks for that one, Reece.

Going back to my old title 'Is He A She?!' instead of the Tapas one 'Testoster-zone.' _______ ❝Sometimes you don't have to be Superman or Spiderman to save a soul. You just have to dress as a guy.❞ _______ Parents and troubled looks are always a bad combination. Just like how getting bankrupt and asking to dress as a guy are a bad combination. Mission objectives: 1. Befriend unfriendly, cold, rich loner. 2. Make him social. 3. Get the hell out of this all boys school. But some things go unplanned just like how the mission gets altered a 'teeny' bit. Like, for e.g., 1. Make friends. 2. Become one of the boys. 3. Make her roommate 'life of the party.' 4. Have the time of her life. 5. And maybe, just maybe... fall in love. ________________ Dedicated to my sister/mentor/inspiration @Litdark ________________ r e a d e r ' s o p i n i o n "Your story has dripping sarcasm and drool worthy attitude of girls, and the amazing romance - I kid you not, no one wants to miss an amazing sarcasm dripping hilarious fiction." "That girl is da bomb. Period." "The feels and bromance is too real. Help!" "Short. But hilarious and downright funny. Good job." ________________ #1 [ humour ] # 32 [ teen fiction ] Cover credit: me Image credit to owner Trailer credit: yours truly _________________ © copyright 2015-2016 Please do not copy. ADDICT IN BLACK SPIN OFF Keagan Monikol: the jock with a hidden talent for poetry and an unarming amount of intelligence. Hidden away under stereotypes and an unwillingness to correct people's assumptions, his true self is far less dumb and far more sensitive than other's give him credit for. He's ordinary, so why not just let them all think he's ordinary, too? Robin Rae: All around nerd, complete Star Wars fan, and absolutely doesn't care about people's opinions. And she thinks he's a total dummy. Have you ever wanted to run away? To become completely different from who you are, to just start over? Keagan...doesn't. He has no need to change, no need to prove himself. No one knows him, not really. But what happens when he meets someone who he wants to be himself around? After being paired for an assignment in their math class, the two can't help but to butt heads. It also seems that Keagan can't stop himself from falling for the girl who is severely underestimating him. He puts love poems in the pages of her book and wishes it was enough to make her know how serious he is about her. They have to keep working together for the rest of the year and Keagan finds arguing fun for once. Both with baggage, he refuses to share things with her and rarely lets her glimpse at his true intellect while Robin doesn't really ever look at him unless she's forced. It's only a matter of time before the bickering between a awkward nerd and a smart jock creates one hell of a story. ----- Birdie laughs loudly, head tilted back and clutching at herself. But while her eyes are gleaming with amusement I can't help but to let my heart drop heavily in my chest. It's not a joke, I think. I love you. ----- Nudging her up at the elbow, I grin when she finally stands. "Come on, Four-eyes, we need to get a move on." "Whatever, Jock-Strap," Robin sighs, giving me a look. "I didn't know your time was so important to you." "Keep up Birdie, time isn't real."
