"You didn't just house me when you took me in, Angel. You became my haven."
-
When 18 year old ambivert Yvonne di Rhodes met the troubled bassist and soccer player, Calum Hood, she knew her life was about to change. What she didn't know was how much it would change, exactly.
She didn't expect to start hanging out with the type of company that Calum kept. She certainly didn't expect to begin syncing the concerning habits Calum had introduced her to. God, she didn't even expect to start liking his music.
But the thing she'd least expected was that he would share her home only days after meeting.
You'd think she'd learn to expect the unexpected.
-
In the outskirts of Sydney, Yvonne feels like she has nothing going for her. Her parents aren't around often, her uncle is in hospital, and her last year of high school is coming to an end. She doesn't know what to do with her life.
Calum Hood is many things. A soccer player, a bassist, a bad boy of sorts... many things indeed, but the idea of being homeless at 19 wasn't something he expected to add to that list.
As Yvonne struggles with the idea of the future, and branching out, Calum finds himself battling with his own identity when it becomes clear that he will have to choose between his two passions - the band, and soccer.
Their friends think they've found the perfect solution for their housing dilemmas: Calum should move in with Yvonne.
Decisions, decisions...
