Ellery's parent are leaving. They are up and leaving her in the care of a woman that she doesn't know for a whole year, so they can go on holiday. Selfish right? 

Ellery doesn't want her parents to leave her with their friends from high school, the  Thompson's, but then again she doesn't really have a choice in the matter. Accepting the she is going to be living with another family for a year, Ellery decides to try and get over her parents leaving, and make the most of it.

What she doesn't know though, is that Beth and George have eleven kids, and only one of them is a girl.
