For seven centuries, the Andromic Empire has been a safe haven for Casters, individuals who are born with the ability to wield magic. But all of that changes in less than a decade. Casters are now forced to hide or flee in fear of being hunted down. Carver is an assassin that specializes in killing Casters, despite his own inability to Cast. Years of ruthless training and conditioning has made Carver one of the best assassins in the Andromic Empire.
Carver's life changes when he's hired to kill a thief named Anthea, a seemingly harmless girl, but looks can be deceiving. Not only does Anthea try to kill Carver, but Anthea is also a deadly. Carver's encounter with Anthea puts his entire identity and beliefs into question, and suddenly he finds himself being thrown into a war against his will.
