It's the year 12,090 A.D. It is a dark time for the world. Humanity is just crawling out from under three hundred years of domination by the creatures called Hollows. The war against the Hollows has taken its toll. Cities are in ruin, the countryside is fragmented into small villages with people that still struggle against nightly raids by the fallen Hollows-and the remnants of their genetically manufactured demonic creatures.
Every village wants a Hunter. A warrior who have pledged their lives to the eradication of the Hollow. But some Hunters are better than others, and some bring their own kind of danger with them...

Then humans were tired of monsters and tried to fight back by having monster hunters, especially going through bloody wars just to save the world. Now with the main characters, Tavian and Samuel meeting in the castle and after knowing each other deeply, they start with a goal to try to change the world and find a solution to get rid of all creatures and evil, but it will take a long time for that goal to achieve. They will go through different situations, missions and adventures, meeting new people or creatures along their journey. Somehow they will find other main characters who will come along their journey and become a team- or a family where they all don't separate.

After being told he and his sister were being sent off to Summer Camp because of a "Book Report" - though Hollow used that term loosely - that went wrong.
