She has this idea in her head that if you're not good at somethhing to begin with, don't try at all. But what happens when the house next door to her is sold to a new family? What happens when she meets their rebellious son Carter Johnson who likes to live his day like it could always be his last? Can Carter teach Ally to just live life? To chase after her dreams?
