THIS IS ACOTAR FANFICTION. THESE CHARACTERS AND THIS WORLD BELONG TO SARAH J. MAAS.

This fic follows Aria, a fae of the Summer Court and Tarquin, the High Lord of the Summer Court.

I feel like Tarquin is a precious bean who just wants friends and deserves happiness, so I've written some for him :)

Two years have passed since Mikael Anik and Estelle Marzena survived the Illyrian Blood Rite and were mated. They've finally settled into their new life together, back in the Dawn Court. However, the peace they've known thus far is almost at an end. For months, Estelle has suffered nightmares of the events that took place on Ramiel, and they are growing worse with each day that her questions remain unanswered. It is time for the mystery to be unraveled, but what will it cost to do so? There is more at stake now than either of them could have imagined. Are they facing an isolated threat, or is it possible that some ancient foe lurks within Prythian's borders, waiting for her chance to strike? Disclaimer: I do not own the ACOTAR series or the characters and places therein. I take credit only for this story and my original characters. This story takes place several years after A Court of Silver Flames and follows the storyline I have set out in my previous fanfictions. This fanfiction may not fall in line with the actual storyline once the ACOTAR series is continued, and it will NOT be updated to match it. Warning: This book, while being a work of fiction, still deals with real elements. There will be chapters dealing with sexual content, rape, abuse, depression, gore, PTSD, and other topics which some might find triggering. Some say that everyone's fate is already determined. If that's the case, Estelle Marzena is greatly disappointed with hers. Her greatest dream is to participate in the Illyrian Blood Rite and become a Carynthian warrior, like so many in her family. She has been training for the Rite her entire life, and yet, she continues to be told that she isn't ready. Estelle must find a way to prove her skills to her mentors so that she can prove her skills to the world, and she might have unwittingly stumbled across a way to do that. Being the bastard son of the High Lord of Dawn isn't something Mikael Anik takes lightly. Despite his parents' love and acceptance, Mikael continued to feel the pressure and unease of his people. His birth parents never married and he is a Peregryn halfbreed, the likes of which had never become a High Lord before. Mikael is devoted to proving himself to both his fathers and his people, but can he do that and deal with a surprisingly irritating Shadowsinger at the same time? This book is a collection of short stories based off the characters and events set forth in my previous ACOTAR fanfictions. The short stories in this book are all scenes that were either mentioned or not depicted in the fanfictions themselves. The stories will not follow a set order when added into this book, but I will be sure to provide the names of the characters featured in each story, as well as the title and chapter number(s) it takes place in at the start of each story. Please note that this book probably won't be updated regularly as it's just a fun side project for me to do in my spare time.
