I felt lost for air, as I had just realised, it all suddenly making sense. My eyes began to get watery as I avoided his gaze, grabbing the notepad and pastel pen, writing a few words down. I bit my lip as I turned it over, looking into his dumbfounded eyes which suddenly changed, he became still. He nodded and I mouthed, “I didn’t know, I had no idea. I’m sorry” He wrapped me in an embrace, it was strange. She can feel his fingers tightening on her back, can feel his thumb pressing against her ribs, his grip growing surer. His jaw is tight, his eyes flickering back and forth between hers, trying to find the permission he needs that's hidden in the blush on both their cheeks.
