I felt a piece inside me abruptly shatter into about a thousand pieces.
Then send a loud echo drum through my ears.
I was done fighting. He had won the battle.
My heart was pounding, louder then I could ever speak. It followed a pattern, the one it had gotten so used to after facing consecutive days of heartbreak for years.
I fleetingly heard a whisper but I was too mentally withdrawn to understand what it was saying.
I pressed my eyelids together. Trying not to let the tears roll down onto my pallid face. But my body was refusing, abandoning my mind as the man took me further and further away.
Red, blue, red blue.
