Maria is a young, intelligent girl who would be a shining star if it wasn't for the illnesses inside her brain. These illnesses are as deadly as cancer as they slowly kill her happiness and heart. Her depression causes her to self harm and isolate whilst her eating disorder causes her to skip meals and vomit. Her mother blames her unhappiness on her phone, and her therapist blamed it on her biological father.

In the nick of time, Maria finds Rhian. Rhian seems to be able to handle it all, to be able to do anything. She's been through it already and seemed to be amanaging perfectly. And after spending party's together, days together and spending multiple nights wrapped up in the warmth of each others arms. Rhian helps Maria with a lot of things: her nightmares, her trauma, her eating and helps Maria force herself to come to terms with her sexuality. But can Rhian help Maria's head? Maria doesn't think so, but she's a damn good distraction.

Follow Maria's road to living herself again as she falls in love with her new best friend.
