It's very difficult to be the new girl, and I guess Carli, being the amazing leader that she is, took that very fact into consideration. I mean, everybody was "the new girl" once. Alex Morgan, Hope Solo, Tobin Heath. However, it's hard to be the new girl on the best team in the world.
Adding me to the group chat was only the beginning of my bond with this team. The only thing is, they're very good at hiding the drama from the fans and press. Being the new girl, I'd really be screwing myself over if I messed it up.
