Carter stood with her arms crossed over her chest as she watched the spiteful man make his way out of the dark corner of the kitchen. His eyes glowed, lighting up the dull room. The absence of light that once was, was no longer present.
Carter backed up until she was pushed against a wall, a part of her became weak as his presence neared.
"If there's one thing I'm sure of," his deep voice filled the space around her. Shivers took over her body as he held her face in his hands causing her to lean into his touch. His eyes stared into her soul,
"It's that you have always belonged to me."
