Meet Kaila.
Snarky, sarcastic and definitely not the type to go on spontaneous, under planned adventures. Unless it's her best friend and older brother going with her, of course.

Meet Trystan.
Nefarious, nauseatingly handsome and notorious for having connections to criminal activity but somehow miraculously escaping the law.

The two make an unlikely pair, but when Trystan rescues her from an abusive home and vows to keep her close, the pair become inseparable.

But then the unthinkable happens.
Kaila's half brother goes missing, the only family that ever cared for her. Suddenly, Trystan has a difficult time protecting the girl with the grey eyes when she is so intent on destroying herself to save her brother.
But Trystan can't let her get hurt. And what's more, he can't let her out of his sight for fear of her finding out the incriminating truth that would unsettle everything their tale has come to be...
