Caitlin and Barry had what Cisco would call an 'epic love'. They were so in love with each other, it drove other people crazy. Barry had never been happier about how his life had turned out, but soon that all changed. After Barry was fighting his worst villain yet, he was beaten to the point he lost his memory. He couldn't remember anything since he had become the Flash which meant he definitely didn't remember Caitlin.

Caitlin had started working on a way to fix herself and Killer Frost. The only problem was that she had started working on it before they defeated DeVoe. Now that they were free of the Thinker, she was still working on her problem alone, but without the proper help, the serum could kill her. Even though Caitlin's secrets are potentially dangerous and life threatening, she is not the only one hiding something. Barry is also keeping secrets of his own, more minor secrets. Putting on a brave face for the team and his daughter from the future, he hides the fact that he and Iris as fighting more and more often.
