Chemical wars made an arrival between countries years ago but only now, is there a consequence. Due to the leaking of malicious chemicals, an explosion in a nuclear plant sent out radio waves, reviving the dead and infecting living beings with a virus.

Years later, more that 3/4 of the earth's population has taken the ultimate toll, death. In southern England a survival camp was set up with help from survivors from other countries. Many people gather there, people from all around the world. In fact, the most people gathered there are American and there is rarely any Brits left.
Courageous survivors must fight against the undead to protect what is left of their civilisation though, conflict between humans is at it's highest and can everybody truly work together as a team?
Will love suffice over a tragedy?
Will this nightmare ever end; is there a solution?

This is the first time I've written a story like this, however I feel that I should explain some plot points since I did try to stick as close to the anime canon as possible but there are a few things I'd like to clear up first. This story starts at the fall of Wall Maria from your perspective as a young girl who lived in the Shiganshina district, I'll leave the age unspecified if I can but at the end she will definitely be over 18 years old. Then I will go into a time skip after developing the relationship between the reader and Levi as he helps the reader through their depression, I just wanted to get some background into the story first since it's important to how the reader ends up meeting Levi. Another thing I wanted to point out is that I know that the scouts didn't live in the abandoned castle until after they got Eren in the Survey Corps however I set the story there the majority of the time since I have no clue where they lived before and this is my story so I'll do what I want XD. I'm going to write for a female reader since it should be easier for me to write for this story that way, but I plan on doing more gender neutral stories in the future if this goes over well. This will only be rated 18+ near the end (Like literally only in the last chapter) as I mostly want to focus on the relationship the reader forms with Levi and I don't want my first story to be pure smut. Until now. Our lives were threatened when a mysterious and deadly virus broke out, killing entire communities at a time. The council says that they have a plan; they said that in order to prevent the death of more innocent people they will test every man, woman, and child for signs of the virus. Any person found to have been infected will be quarantined, the ones who die will be given a proper burial while the ones who survive are deemed carriers and are to be sent to the home planet to prevent further outbreak. I was prepared for the people I know and some I love being taken away for the greater good, but I never would have expected that among the list of people being taken from my community, that I would be one of them..
